HASTINGS LAKE BIBLE CAMP INTRODUCES
A NEW FUN EXPERIENCE FOR SUMMER 2025!

 

HLBC is overjoyed to bring an exciting change to our summer program and overall camp facilities. This season, we will convert our beloved outdoor pool to a gigantic,

colourful, and exhilarating Ball Pit!

 

"I'm really hyped about this new direction camp is taking with our outdoor facilities," comments Program Director Dan Shepherd. "I was thinking of how we could bring new and innovative ways of fun to camp. It was then I began

thinking about my childhood and how much joy I had at my local McDonalds. After finishing the cheeseburger from my Happy Meal, I recall always running to the play area and jumping into the bright, colourful ball pit. Once I looked at our current snow filled pool, that's when the lightbulb turned on!"

 

"It makes a lot of sense when you think about it," remarks Executive Director Andrew Carlson. "Outdoor Pools can be quite expensive to maintain. There's a

bunch of chemicals we have to buy to keep the pool clean, and don't get me started on all the water we have to truck in just to fill it, year after year. This ball pit idea will save the camp on a lot of resources, while still maintaining the spirit of fun all of our campers enjoy. Some of the locals have already shared how excited they are to try out the pit with their kids. It's sure to be a blast!"

"I'm already brainstorming ideas on how to incorporate it into our summer program," says Dan. "We're looking at pushing Quest time later in the day, and having a Ball Pit Dip right after Chapel. I can't wait to say 'It's my favourite time, it's your favourite time, it's BALL PIT TIME! ' I know everyone is going to love this."

When asked about if there was now a need for lifeguards, both Andrew and Dan

declined to comment.

 

The New Outdoor Ball Pit is set to make it's debut at the beginning of July, 2025,

just in time for the summer camp season. We hope you will join us in being excited about this new change at Hastings Lake. Don't forget to sign up for one of our
